This natural body wash is eco-friendly and easy to make!
What You’ll Need:
- Body wash bottle
- Jug or bowl
- Stirring utensil
Ingredients (for a 500ml bottle):
- 250ml Dr. Bronner’s Pure-Castile Liquid Soap or any natural liquid soap available.
- 1 Tsp Salt
- 1 Tbs Aloe vera
- Warm water
- Essential oils of choice
Directions:
- Add the Dr. Bronner’s Pure-Castile Liquid Soap and aloe vera to the jug/bowl.
- Next, in a seperate bowl/jar pour in roughly 2 Tbs of warm water and then add the salt, making sure it dissolves.
- Now you want to slowly pour your warm salty mixture in to the soap and aloe vera, stirring as you do so. The mixture should thicken as you do this, if it doesn’t, don’t worry, it will later.
- Next add around 40 drops of your chosen essential oil blend (see below for suggestions!).
- Finally you want to pour it in to your body wash bottle and fill it to the top with room temperature water.
- And your done! Just use it like normal body wash and know that what’s going down the drain won’t hurt the environment!
Essential Oil Blends:
- 10 drops peppermint
- 20 drops sweet orange
- 10 drops lavender
- 20 drops of lemongrass
- 10 drops lemon or any citrus
- 10 drops lavender
- 10 drops rosemary
- 10 drops lavender
- 10 drops lemon
- 10 drops sweet orange
- 10 drops eucalyptus
- 10 drops wintergreen
- 20 drops sweet orange
